Manage your position

Follow a position from its first deposit through withdrawal, fee collection, and closure.

A position records your range, liquidity, and claimable fees. Its liquidity amount is an accounting unit; it is not the same as the number of tokens you deposited.

Open and fund

Review the token pair, range, pool rules, and maximum token amounts before signing. Opening a position creates its account. Adding liquidity funds it and may require other accounts to be created. Your interface should distinguish the deposit from the SOL needed for fees and account deposits. Follow Add liquidity for the complete sequence.

Track principal and fees separately

Principal is the changing mix of assets backing your liquidity. Accrued fees are your share of fees earned while your range participates in swaps. A position's apparent value can rise or fall even while it earns fees.

Collecting fees does not automatically reinvest them. An APR or projected APY is not a guaranteed return and does not include every risk or cost.

Remove liquidity

Removing some or all liquidity returns the assets represented by that liquidity at the current price. Set minimum acceptable amounts. You may receive a different mix from your original deposit, including only one asset when out of range. Use Remove liquidity to review partial withdrawals and one-asset exits.

Collect and close

Collect outstanding fees separately. A position can close only once its liquidity and owed balances are cleared. Closing an eligible position returns its remaining SOL deposit to its owner; it does not close every shared pool or tick account.

Check the confirmed result and balances after each operation. A hook may impose additional requirements on position actions. See costs and the LP lifecycle reference.
