# Prepare a project draft

> Give your project a name, a ticker and a story.

**Launch a token** opens the local project form. Start with the identity of your project and review the details on the page. This step does not deploy a token or publish a project.

## Build your draft

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start from Explore" icon="rocket">
    Select **Launch a token** to open the project form.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Define its identity" icon="pen-to-square">
    Enter a **Project name** of up to 60 characters and a **Token ticker** of 1–10 letters or numbers.

    A ticker is a discovery label. It does not establish a token's unique onchain identity.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tell its story" icon="align-left">
    Optionally add a **Description**, up to 500 characters. Introduce what the project is and who it is for.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the project" icon="circle-check">
    Select **Review project**. A confirmation says the details are ready to review and explains that network setup and publishing are unavailable.

    Editing a field clears the confirmation so you can review again.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  The draft stays on the current page. Leaving or refreshing clears it. Copy any
  wording you want to keep before navigating away.
