# Meet GEMs

> Earn through eligible activity. Use for experiences on GRAPL.

GEM is GRAPL's nontransferable benefit unit. The goal: drop GEMs to people who generate **legitimate trading volume in eligible tokens**, then let them use those GEMs for approved experiences.

<Info>
  In development. GEM contracts run locally on Anvil; the app uses sample
  balances. Public earning rules, eligible tokens and anti-abuse checks are
  still being defined.
