# Find tokens and creators

> Move from a name, ticker or creator to a project worth exploring.

The search field is your starting point for the sample catalog. Results open the matching token, presale or creator entry.

## Find your first result

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open search" icon="magnifying-glass">
    Focus the search field in the app header, or press **⌘ K** on macOS / **Ctrl
    K** on other platforms.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Type a name" icon="keyboard">
    Try **Orbit**. The background dims and the dropdown updates as you type. Use
    a scope to narrow the list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Follow a match" icon="arrow-right">
    Select a result, or use **↑**, **↓** and **Enter**. A token opens its
    detail; a creator opens its directory entry.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  **Escape** dismisses the dropdown. The clear button removes the query.
  Updating a search does not rebuild the token pile.
</Tip>

## Choose a search scope

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="All" icon="layer-group">
    Search tokens and creators together. A single query can find a token by its name or ticker and other projects by the same creator.

    Use this when you know a name but are not sure which kind of result you need.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Tokens" icon="coins">
    Keep the list focused on tokens and public presales. Selecting a result opens the corresponding [project detail](/guides/project-pages).

    The field also accepts a **contract address (CA)**. The sample catalog has no deployed addresses to resolve, so a missing result is not an onchain check of whether the token exists.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Creators" icon="users">
    Find creators by name and open their entries in the directory. Projects listed there come from the same sample catalog.

    A catalog profile is not verified identity or proof that someone controls a wallet.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Holders" icon="wallet">
    Holder search shows an unavailable state because no ownership source is connected. It cannot report live balances or identify token holders yet.

    Check [availability](/reference/availability) for the current integration state.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## Browse without searching

Select a token from the pile or the catalog to open its details. New sample tokens can appear as the preview runs; their appearance does not represent a live launch event.
